SITE : SWAMI SAMARTH GARDEN, OLD KABRASTAN ROAD, JOGESHWARI EAST

THE STRUCTURE IS DESIGNED TO ENABLE THE COMMUNITY TO EXPERIMENT WITH FARMING TECHNIQUES AND TO PROVIDE CHILDREN WITH INSIGHT INTO A PRACTICAL, HANDS-ON APPROACH TO FARMING.
AS THE SITE IS A GARDEN WITH LIMITED DEDICATED SITTING SPACES, A REST AREA IS INCORPORATED TO SUPPORT USERS AND ENHANCE COMFORT AND USABILITY.

Trying out gabion wall where the net would act as a support for vegetation.

Exploring methods of step farming.

Integrating steps into the existing contours to arrive to a form.

Making sections for how the water will be collected in this structure.
FIRST FORM //


form too small, not for human height and needed varied contours


went almost 15 meters in height, a lot of area wasted, water falling would offset a huge distance, too bulky and impractical. so tried to use the same plan, make a grid in it and use it as a starting point for the final structure.


on deriving a form it looked something like this

resolving the roof, pushing the structure 1 meter into the ground and extending the contours further to merge with the lanscape
